Breathwork

"For breath is life, and if you breathe well you will live long on earth."

— Sanskrit Proverb

The quality of our breath is a direct reflection of the quality of our Presence, of our Life. May we surrender to the flow of breath. In. And out. And in. And out. Ones and zeros. An infinite cycle of surrendering to life. Surrendering to death. Laying down on the ground at the altar of grief. Jumping into the sky in celebration of ecstatic joy. May we give ourselves over fully to death. That we may give ourselves over fully to life. May we grieve the loss of the life that we loved. That we may love the life that we live.

Breathwork

Breath is Medicine. It is life force. It is the energy of life.

In the Temple, Breath is Medicine. Breath has been tended by the Ancients, the Wise Ones, the Sages, the Mystics and the Scientists, the Yogis, the Ninjas and the Shamans; and is universally recognized as Life Force Energy. The Breath of Life. The Bridge between the Conscious and the Unconscious. When we witness our Breath we are witnessing life itself in its flow of constant change. In it’s cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Receiving nourishment, and releasing waste. Breath can bring us into embodied presence in an instant. When we engage with our breath intentionally, we gain agency and vitality.

What is breathwork?

Breathwork is a loose term to describe a broad array of intentional breathing practices. Intentional breathing practices have been cultivated throughout the history of humanity as a means to expand consciousness, access Self, and facilitate healing. Breath moves through all of our Deep Body layers - physical, cognitive, emotional, sensual, expressive, perceptive, and collective. So, breathwork can catalyze consciousness, synthesis, or expression through any and all of these layers. This medicine offers space to witness and surrender to what is present in your multi-dimensional field. Unlike talk therapy where we can control the narrative, breathwork simply requires a commitment to the breath to see what is alive and ready to be shifted. It invites us into authentic expression in coherence with our cognitive minds, not dominated by.

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?

Conscious Connected Breathwork is an active breathing practice using a continuous, circular rhythm without pauses between the inhale and exhale. Typically, the pattern is a two-part active inhale (belly, then chest) followed by a relaxed, passive exhale – all through the mouth. Conscious Connected Breathwork can be a powerful tool for emotional release, nervous system regulation, and expanded states of consciousness that can lead to self discovery and connection to one's own inner wisdom and the mystery. Many experience this work as a form of active meditation, offering clarity, insight, and a sense of deep peace. It can support integration of life’s challenges, and invite greater presence, vitality, and connection to the sacred or transpersonal. Conscious Connected Breathwork invites expanded state consciousness that can be similar to psychedelics, yet because the breath is the medicine, the breather has ultimate autonomy as to how they are engaging with their breath.
